Gunnbjörn Gunnarsson plays Joel, a troubled young man who just finished serving time in prison. Soon his father, Odinn, shows up and little does he know what is about to occur.

Óskar Gudmundsson plays the estranged father, Odinn, to the protagonist’s character, Joel. This is Óskar’s debut in acting.
Óskar is an author and has published 5 novels; Hilma, Blóðengill (Bloodangel), Boðorðin (The Commandments), Dansarinn (The Dancer) and now out on Storytel, Brúðumeistarinn (The Puppet Master).

The idea for the movie popped up in my head just before I was about to fall asleep. I jumped out of bed, grabbed my notebook and a pencil and the first thing I wrote down was: A father and a son fighting about the radio. I just had this image of two strong personalities fighting over such a small thing. Once that was down on paper all the other ideas started pouring out. The main arch of the characters, Joel and Odinn, are stories inspired by a lot of men that I’ve talked to, listened to and observed in the past. What some people have been through with their fathers is unbelievable, things I even wish I didn’t hear. At the same time there was always place for love between the father and the son. No matter what went on.
